The Academy prepares Native American high school students for entry into college degrees and careers in biomedical/biobehavioral research.
Academy students work collaboratively with STEM professionals, engage in original research, and earn college credits while completing foundational courses, preparing them for study in college STEM degrees.
The Academy is housed and operated on the SKC campus. Students attend SKC every afternoon throughout the school year for two years. Acceptance into the Academy is competitive and cost-free to students who are chosen to attend.
“This unique education experience will be rigorous and application will be competitive, but all interested Native American students finishing up their sophomore or junior years should apply” – Dr. Regina Sievert
